KGV Coupling – dampening and compact!

REICH present its most recent coupling designs for the power transmission. New projects could be realized for the manufacturing and power transmission sector. Several special designs of the TOK and AC-VSK couplings had already been on show at the Hanover Fair and bauma 2013.

In the area of flexible cardan shaft couplings, an increasing demand for reduced length and smaller diameter solutions is being recorded. For this reason the new coupling type KGV (compact cardan shaft coupling) has been designed which complements the existing standard product range. The KGV coupling is laid out for DIN standard cardan shaft connections.

However, thanks to the full in-house manufacturing competence including the rubber production facility, alternative connections and customized solutions can also be realized with ease. The KGV dampens torsional vibrations and peak loads and thus protects the shafting and the driven machine. It is furthermore fail-safe, electrically insulating, capable of withstanding high overloads and suitable for use at service temperatures of up to 120°C. Adding to this is that the diameter is hardly larger than the cardan shaft. The existing designs up to size 150 are laid out to dampen nominal torques of 1800 Nm and peak loads up to 4000 Nm.

With this innovative approach, REICH sets a new benchmark and responds to the individual requirements of this market segment. The development of the technical prerequisites for particularly efficient and technically highly advanced couplings runs like a red thread through the history of REICH in Bochum. By dealing with the latest technologies on a day-by-day basis and thanks to its long-standing experience, Reich has achieved an enormous leading-edge competence.
